A safari, shaped
around you.
Awaken your spirit
Our quiet conviction
The most thoughtful safaris are still designed by people who’ve walked the land themselves.
A letter from the founder
Welcome to my Africa.
Born and raised in Kenya, my connection to this part of the world has only deepened through my travels across the continent. In 2013, I founded Africa Wild Safaris with one clear vision: to share the beauty of this place in a way that is authentic, transformative, and rooted in quality.
For me, true luxury is never just about comfort. It is about creating the space for reflection, connection, and perspective. Every journey begins with listening — taking the time to understand what matters most to our travellers, then curating experiences that bring those wishes to life in ways that are seamless, thoughtful, and deeply personal.
My hope is that every traveller returns home carrying a piece of Africa in their heart, changed in some way, and inspired to return.

The pledge
Four generations on this land. Every itinerary still drawn by hand.
No two safaris we have ever planned are the same. We keep our calendar small — a deliberate constraint, in service of the work.
Kenya
The land that started everything. Mara grasslands, Laikipia conservancies, the silence before the diesel cuts.
Tanzania
Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and the long quiet drives between. The migration writ across an entire horizon.
Rwanda
Volcanoes, terraced hillsides, and the unhurried encounter with mountain gorillas that resets one’s entire sense of scale.
Botswana
Okavango water-channels, mokoro mornings, and the privilege of camps so remote you can hear the night arrive.
Zanzibar
The slow coda. Coral beaches, dhow sails, and the kind of stillness that only follows weeks of motion.
A moment in time
“The fire is lit before you arrive. There is no welcome speech. Only the warmth of a chair that has been waiting for you.”
Conservation
The land remembers the people who tend it.
Every journey we design contributes to the conservancies that shelter the species our guests come to see. We work most closely with the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya — a community-anchored model that protects rhino, elephant, and the people who have lived alongside them for generations.
We don’t publish slogans about it. We measure it in school terms funded, anti-poaching patrols kept on the ground, and grazing corridors kept open.

A guest’s voice
“Every detail was anticipated — not catered to, but anticipated. By the third day we stopped looking at the itinerary. It had already happened.”
An invitation
When you’re ready, we’d love to listen.
A safari shaped entirely around what matters to you starts with one conversation. No itineraries online — every trip is drawn from scratch.
