Liability for Government Taxes or Fees

Africa Wild Safaris is not liable for any increase in government taxes, park fees, camping fees, and concession fees after the safari has been booked. In the event of such an increase, the client will be notified as soon as possible and will be liable to pay the additional fees as per the law of the country, even if the safari has already been paid for.

Bookings & Payments

These conditions apply to all tours provided by Africa Wild Safaris unless otherwise stated. Africa Wild Safaris is a registered, fully licensed tour operator based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with remote offices in Arusha, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya.

• The booking form must be completed in full for all clients going on safari.
• Once the completed booking form is received, we will proceed to book accommodation, excursions, transfers and domestic flights if needed.
• After receiving confirmation of these bookings, an invoice will be sent, which also serves as the booking confirmation.
• A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total invoice is required to secure the booking. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the safari start date.
• If the deposit has not been paid within 7 days of the invoice being received, Africa Wild Safaris will not be able to secure the holds and cannot guarantee the properties and rates quoted.
• For bookings within 60 days prior to arrival date, the full invoice amount must be paid immediately.
• Receipts will be provided for each payment.
• All payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other approved methods, as indicated in the invoice. Any applicable bank or credit card transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

Cancellation, Amendment & Reduction in Number

Cancellations must be made in writing (via email) and are subject to the following fees, plus a 3.5% bank fee:

• More than 60 days before arrival: 30% of the reservation’s full value will be forfeited.
• Less than 60 days before arrival and No Shows: 100% of the reservation’s full value will be forfeited.

Please note: Africa Wild Safaris reserves the right to modify cancellation policies if our travel service or safari providers impose different penalties than those listed above. Any changes or variations will be communicated to the traveler in writing before the final payment for travel. our cancellation policies are in line with the properties and vendors we work with on the ground and cannot be amended.

Refund Policy

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the cancellation notice and will be issued back to the original method of payment. Any non-refundable transaction fees will be deducted from the refund amount.

Insurance

We recommend obtaining insurance for cancellation, trip curtailment, and medical emergencies. Ensure your travel insurance covers your needs. Note:Africa Wild Safaris only books your trip to East or Southern Africa and not your international flight. Comprehensive insurance often has limited coverage, so please verify your insurance details.

Responsibility and Indemnification

Responsibility and Indemnification Africa Wild Safaris will exercise utmost care for its guests and their belongings but accepts no responsibility for any illness, accident, or loss incurred during the tour. We strongly recommend having comprehensive travel insurance before booking.

Changes in Booking

Africa Wild Safaris reserves the right to make changes to accommodation as necessary. If your approved accommodation is fully booked due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a suitable alternative. If alternatives in the same or lower price range are unavailable, we will suggest more expensive accommodation and invoice you the difference. Booking far in advance, especially during high seasons (July-August-December), is advised to secure your preferred accommodation.

Visa Requirements

Obtaining a visa for travel is the client’s responsibility, either online in advance or at the point of entry. Visa requirements vary by country, so please check your government travel website for specific details.

Delays

Africa Wild Safaris cannot be held liable for any delays, missed transfers, services, or additional costs incurred as a result of internal airlines not running to schedule.

General Terms

• Africa Wild Safaris is not responsible for any delays or changes in the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other factors beyond our control.
• Clients are advised to adhere to local laws and regulations during their stay.
• Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved under the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
